Sunday, shortly after 3:00 pm, the Indiana State Police responded to a two vehicle crash on US 50 at State Route 750 that claimed the life of an eighteen year old North Vernon man.

A K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating a presence of a controlled substance. A search of the vehicle was completed with officers locating a small children’s backpack under the front passenger seat containing $10,000.00 in U.S. Currency. Officers also located alleged Cocaine in the vehicle.
