In regards to the fatal hit and run crash which occurred on July 25th, 2016, at W 59th Street and Georgetown Road, Hit and Run detectives have a vehicle of interest in which they are trying to locate and are asking for the public’s assistance.
IMPD Seeks Fatal Hit-and-Run Suspect
Around 5:30 a.m., this morning, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were sent to the intersection of E. New York Street and N. Bradley Av. on a serious crash. When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive female front seat passenger partially ejected suffering from significant injuries.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department investigators with the Crash Investigations Section have arrested Jayme Murphy, 26, for allegedly striking Thomas Abell, 27, in the early morning hours of June 28, 2015 and then fleeing from the scene.

UPDATE: June 29, 2015 @ 3:50 PM The victim has been positively identified by the Marion County Coroner’s Office as Thomas Abell, 27, of Indianapolis. At this time, the investigation is on-going.
