Preliminary investigation revealed a gray 2010 Kia Forte, driven by 19-year-old Taylor Thrasher of Merom, IN., was eastbound on SR 154 approaching stopped traffic near CR 700 W. Thrasher failed to stop and struck a silver 2011 Ford F-250 pickup in the rear, driven by 70-year-old Duane Wampler of Merom, IN.

Anthony K. Genson, 50, of Merom, Indiana capsized his 14-foot aluminum fishing boat on Wampler Lake. Mr. Genson was wearing a life jacket and was able to swim to the safety of a nearby island.
