Strong winds are expected today behind a cold front sweeping through the area.

Showers and thunderstorms will be possible, especially late tonight, across central Indiana. A few storms late tonight may be severe, with damaging winds the primary threat.

Today, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies, with some breaks in the clouds, particularly later in the day. Highs will climb into the upper 50s to low 60s.

Tonight into Saturday morning, temperatures will again drop into the 30s across the area but should remain above freezing.

Windy and much colder conditions will be around today. Highs today will be in the upper 40s to middle 50s, with lows tonight near freezing.

Severe storms possible this evening and overnight ahead of a cold front. The primary window for severe weather is 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM EDT.

Central Indiana is under a slight risk for severe thunderstorms today and tonight. Primary threats will be large hail and damaging winds.

Dry and mild conditions can be expected today. Highs will reach the mid-60s to around 70.

Mainly dry conditions can be expected into Monday with partly to mostly cloudy skies.

A cold front will bring some scattered showers to central Indiana today into tonight.
