Moderate to heavy rain through the day will result in rainfall amounts of 2-3 inches with localized higher amounts.
This may lead to flooding across portions of central Indiana.
Strong to severe storms across southeastern Indiana late this morning into the afternoon.
The greatest threat for severe weather will be damaging winds, but a brief weak tornado is possible.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for central Indiana from 10 AM to 10 PM Today.
Windy conditions are expected at times, with sustained winds around 20-30 MPH and gusts at times to 45 MPH.
Winds will not be consistently strong the entire day, but will occasionally become strong.

INDIANAPOLIS 7-DAY EXTENDED FORECAST
Today: Showers before 2pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 2pm and 5pm, then showers after 5pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 44. Windy, with an east northeast wind 23 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between 2 and 3 inches possible.
Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 10pm, then a chance of showers between 10pm and 11pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a low around 30. Windy, with a west northwest wind 17 to 22 mph increasing to 26 to 31 mph. Winds could gust as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. West northwest wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
