It will be cold through tonight with afternoon highs in the middle 30s north to the lower 40s south and overnight lows in the middle 20s to lower 30s.
Then, roller coaster weather will follow associated with a frontal system.
Temperatures will warm back to the upper 40s and middle 50s on the heels of windy southerly flow. Wind gusts to near 45 mph are possible Friday afternoon and early evening over the upper Wabash Valley.
Rain chances will follow as the front moves through and interacts with increasing moisture. The best chances will be over southeastern sections closer to a strong low-level jet.
Temperatures will be falling in the wake of the cold front with temperatures falling through the 30s and 40s Saturday.
Windy conditions are expected Friday Maximum gusts of up to 45 MPH are possible Friday afternoon and evening.
Winds of this intensity may disturb outdoor objects, including holiday decorations and garbage cans.
