Indianapolis Weather Forecast for July 4, 2022

Independence Day has arrived and it will be HOT!

Afternoon highs in the low 90s, with dewpoints approaching 70 will lead to Heat Index Values in the upper 90s.

If outside for extended periods this afternoon, make sure to stay hydrated and take breaks as needed!

Showers and thunderstorms will near from the north late tonight but firework viewing shouldn’t be disturbed.

INDIANAPOLIS 7-DAY EXTENDED FORECAST

Indianapolis 5 Day Forecast for July 4, 2022

Independence Day: Sunny and hot, with a high near 93. Light east southeast wind becoming south southeast 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 75. South wind 5 to 7 mph.

Tuesday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9am. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 95. Heat index values as high as 101. West southwest wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light southwest after midnight. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 93. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 3pm. Partly sunny and hot, with a high near 91. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
