A band of rain/snow is moving through central Indiana.

Locations north of I-70 will see light accumulations on grassy/elevated surfaces this morning.

Light scattered rain showers are possible this afternoon over north-central Indiana.

For those wanting spring, temperatures will increase throughout the week; nearing 70 by Thursday.

INDIANAPOLIS 7-DAY EXTENDED FORECAST

Today: A chance of rain and snow showers before 10am, then a chance of rain showers after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 48. North wind 6 to 14 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tonight: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 52. West northwest wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Tuesday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 38. Light and variable wind.

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of rain after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. South southeast wind 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Wednesday Night: Rain, mainly after 8pm. Low around 52. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of rain before 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70.

Thursday Night: A slight chance of rain between 8pm and 2am, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 77.
