After a few days of great weather, change is in store as a storm system arrives with rain, thunderstorms, and cooler weather.
A few storms could also be strong to severe in portions of southern Indiana Friday afternoon and evening.
INDIANAPOLIS 7-DAY EXTENDED FORECAST
Today: Sunny early, then becoming partly sunny, with a high near 75. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. South wind around 6 mph.
Friday: Rain, with thunderstorms also possible after 5pm. High near 63. East wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. The chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday Night: Rain and possibly a thunderstorm before 2am, then a chance of rain and thunderstorms after 2am. Low around 45. South wind 6 to 10 mph becoming west in the evening. The chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Saturday: A 50 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 48. West northwest wind 13 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are possible.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 63.
Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 42.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72.
Monday Night: A 30 percent chance of rain after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48.
Tuesday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 60. The chance of precipitation is 70%.
Tuesday Night: Rain. Low around 51. The chance of precipitation is 90%.
Wednesday: Rain and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 64. The chance of precipitation is 80%.
