Indianapolis Weather Forecast for June 30, 2021

Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to move across central Indiana with a gradual weakening expected through the rest of the morning.

Additional showers and storms expected this afternoon with the highest coverage south of I-70.

Brief heavy rain and lightning are the primary hazards through the afternoon.

INDIANAPOLIS 7-DAY EXTENDED FORECAST

Today: Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 4 pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 4 pm. High near 84. West southwest wind around 6 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 8 pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 8 pm. Cloudy, with a low around 69. Light west southwest wind. The chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible.

Thursday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 2 pm, then scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. North wind 3 to 6 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: Scattered showers before 8 pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 59. North wind 6 to 8 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. North northeast wind 6 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 80.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62.

Independence Day: Sunny, with a high near 86.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 67.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 90.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 70.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 91.
