Warm and humid with periods of showers and thunderstorms into Thursday.

Heavy rain and gusty winds possible in and near storms.

INDIANAPOLIS 7-DAY EXTENDED FORECAST

Today: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Partly sunny and hot, with a high near 91. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph. The chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. West southwest wind 3 to 6 mph. The chance of precipitation is 40%.

Wednesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. West wind 3 to 6 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 69. Light west southwest wind. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming north northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 63.

Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 78.

Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 8 pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 60.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 78.

Saturday Night: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Independence Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86.
