Indianapolis Weather Forecast for May 7, 2021

Unsettled weather is expected much of the weekend, with scattered showers today and Saturday, along with isolated thunderstorms today.

Widespread rain, locally heavy at times, can be expected Saturday night into Sunday evening, with a few thunderstorms as well. 1-2 inches of rain is expected.

Dry weather returns for the start of the workweek.

Temperatures will generally be below normal for the time of year.

INDIANAPOLIS 7-DAY EXTENDED FORECAST

Today: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4 pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 64. Light west southwest wind becoming west 9 to 14 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 40. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 2 pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 62. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph.

Saturday Night: Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 am. Low around 46. East wind 3 to 7 mph. The chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 59. South wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 41.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 64.

Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 64.
