Indianapolis Weather Forecast for May 22, 2021

High pressure will center across the Ohio Valley over the next few days, bringing very warm and dry conditions to central Indiana.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible over the northeast half of central Indiana Monday afternoon and evening, and across the northwest half of the area on Tuesday afternoon.

Increasing threats for more numerous showers and thunderstorms will arrive on Wednesday and Thursday.

Highs will be in the mid and upper 80s over the next several days with a few locations potentially reaching 90° Sunday through Tuesday.

INDIANAPOLIS 7-DAY EXTENDED FORECAST

Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Calm wind becoming west southwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. West southwest wind around 6 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. West wind 5 to 9 mph.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. West southwest wind 3 to 7 mph.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 88. Light southwest wind becoming west southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 67.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 88.

Tuesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68.

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely, and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. The chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8 pm and 2 am, then a chance of showers after 2 am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. The chance of precipitation is 60%.

Thursday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 83.

Thursday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Friday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 79.
