Strong winds are expected today behind a cold front sweeping through the area. Wind gusts to around 45 mph are expected, with isolated gusts to 50 mph possible. The strongest burst of winds will likely be early this morning with the passage of this front, but strong winds could continue throughout the day.
Cold temperatures will then arrive overnight, with potential for some sub-freezing temperatures in northern and central parts of the state.
