On this date in 1880: An F2 tornado strikes the north side of Indianapolis, killing one boy who sought shelter in an icehouse. A church is demolished & many houses lose their roofs & chimneys. The tornado’s rumble is said to sound like an approaching train of cars. #INwx #indy
