“Steady rainfall will end this morning but return late tonight and continue into Friday morning. Yet another round of rain, and possible thunderstorms, will arrive Friday night and Saturday, finally exiting the region early Sunday. Ahead of a cold front Saturday night, strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, especially south of Interstate 70. Damaging winds will be the primary threat. 2 to 3 inches of rain with locally higher amounts are expected across central Indiana by Sunday morning. This rainfall will exacerbate existing flooding and increase the potential for significant river flooding. Pay close attention to the forecast and conditions this week, especially if you live or travel near waterways. Never drive through flooded roads – turn around, don’t drown!”
