Game one between the Indianapolis Indians and Columbus Clippers has been postponed due to inclement weather. This marks the second time this season where the Indians have been dealt consecutive postponements due to poor weather conditions.
The two teams will make-up tonight’s game as part of a doubleheader on May 16 at Huntington Park. Game one of that twin bill will begin at 5:35 p.m., with game two beginning 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Both games will be seven-inning contests.
Weather pending, Indy and Columbus will take a crack at their series opener on Saturday night at Huntington Park, with first pitch set for 6:15 p.m. The Indians will send left-hander Steven Brault (0-3, 3.86) to the mound, while the Clippers counter with southpaw Ryan Merritt (2-2, 4.82). The broadcast can be heard on Fox Sports 97.5 or AM 1260.

NAME YOUR KID CHRIS: Bostick’s 15-game hitting streak is the longest streak in the International League this season. Durham’s Curt Casali and Columbus’ Tyler Naquin each have active 14-game hitting streaks. Bostick’s streak is the longest by a Tribe player since Chris Dickerson strung together a 16-gamer from April 29-May 19, 2014.

RACK ‘EM, RAKE ‘EM: The Indians have posted double-digit hit totals in each of their last four games dating back to last Friday at Scranton/W-B. The Indians have recorded 13, 12, 17 and 10 hits in consecutive games, marking the first time Indy has recorded 10-plus hits in a four-game stretch since Sept. 5-9, 2015. That season, Indy totaled 13 hits vs. Toledo on Sept. 5, followed by consecutive 10-hit performances on Sept. 6 and 7 @ Louisville. The Indians then began their 2015 playoff run with an 11-hit outburst to take game one of their opening round series against the RailRiders.
