He has hit safely in 18 of his last 19 and 19 of his last 21 games, accumulating 12 multi-hit performances during that stretch. Six games into the season, his average sat at .217 (5-for-23). Since April 12, he’s batted .393 (35-for-89), the fifth-highest mark in professional baseball.

GETTING ON BASE: Max Moroff and Christopher Bostick have been on-base machines for the Indians this year. Each player has played in 27 games for the Tribe. Moroff has reached base safely in 23 of his appearances, and Bostick has reached base safely via hit in 23 of his appearances. Bostick leads the Indians with a .385 OBP and Moroff is second at .360.

RISP-Y BUSINESS: Indy’s offense has cooled with runners in scoring position over the last four games. The Indians have gone 1-for-7, 3-for- 15, 2-for-11 and 2-for-12, equating to an 8-for-45 output (.178) in those situations. On the season, Indy is batting .254 (71-for-280) with RISP.

EXTRA BASES VS. EPPLER: Tribe starter Tyler Eppler was tagged for eight hits last night, including a season-high five extra-base hits surrendered, tied for the second-highest XBH amount allowed in his career. Last year with Double-A Altoona, Eppler allowed five XBH on July 5 @ Akron, Cleveland’s Double-A affiliate. In his very next start on July 19 @ Hartford, he allowed a career-high six extra-base hits.
