TRIBE NOTES

CHECK PLEASE: With their win last night, the Indians have reeled off four consecutive series wins for the first time since June 1-14, 2015. During that stretch in 2015, Indy took two of three vs. Buffalo (June 1-3) at Victory Field, three of four @ Lehigh Valley (June 4-7), three of three @ Rochester (June 8-10) and three of four vs. Gwinnett at the Vic.

NORTH OF .500: The Indians are above .500 for the first time since April 8, when they were 2-1 three games into the season. The Tribe remain one game back of Toledo in the International League West Division, as the Mud Hens have won three consecutive games against the IL’s cellar dweller, Louisville (12-27).

MULTI-HOMER GAMES: Both Max Moroff and Eric Wood hit two home runs in last night’s 8-4 victory. For the duo, the multi-homer efforts were the second of both of their careers, with both of Moroff’s occuring this season (also: May 6 @ Columbus). Wood’s first career two-homer game came on May 12, 2016 with Double-A Altoona @ Richmond.

FOUR DINGERS: Indy’s four home runs last night set a new season high as a team. In 2016, the Tribe homered four times in just one game, doing so on April 26 @ Durham. In that game, the Indians hit all four of their home runs during a seven-run ninth inning (Willy Garcia, Pedro Florimon, Alen Hanson and Jung Ho Kang).

YOU KNOW THE OBP, YEAH YOU KNOW ME: Max Moroff and Christopher Bostick have been on-base machines for the Indians this year. Each player has played in 30 games for the Tribe. Moroff has reached base safely in 26 of his appearances, and Bostick has reached base safely via hit in 26 of his appearances. Bostick leads the Indians with a .405 OBP and Moroff is second at .388. Bostick’s .405 OBP is tied for fifth-highest in the IL. Moroff finished eighth in the IL last year in OBP at .367.
