On Thursday, May 18, 2017, just after 9:00 p.m., officers with IMPD were sent to the 7900 block of Wildcat Run Lane reference a disturbance involving allegations of domestic battery.

When it was discovered that one of the involved parties was a current off-duty IMPD officer, detectives from IMPD’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) were requested for further investigation.

After being questioned by detectives, Justin Callahan was arrested and transported to the Arrestee Processing Center for processing on misdemeanor criminal charges of battery and domestic battery.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review this case for a charging decision. Justin Callahan is a 7-year-veteran of IMPD and is currently assigned to East District. Chief of Police Bryan Roach has placed Officer Callahan on Administrative Leave and revoked his police powers pending the criminal and internal investigations.
