Construction contractors plan to close the westbound I-70 ramp to southbound I-465 on the east side of Indianapolis tonight starting at 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. to set temporary concrete barriers along the ramp bridge.
Over the next several weeks, crews will be applying a modified concrete deck overlay and replacing the concrete bridge railing. Up to two lanes of I-70 may be closed under the bridge between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. as this work is completed. Motorists are advised to heed construction warning signs and abide by reduced work zone speed limits.
During the overnight ramp closure, interstate traffic will be directed to Shadeland Avenue Exit 89 to return eastbound on I-70 and access southbound I-465.
