CAUGHT: Christopher Demoss for alleged involvement in burglaries

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) detectives arrested and preliminarily charged 27-year-old Christopher Demoss shortly after 1:30 in the morning on April 22, 2017.

Demoss is currently being held on preliminary felony criminal charges of burglary. The suspect is currently being held in the Marion County Jail. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the investigative notes for charging decision.

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Southwest District detectives seek public’s help in locating 27-year-old Christopher Demoss for his alleged involvement in storage unit burglaries.

Just 5:30 p.m. onJanuary 31, 2017, officers with the IMPD were dispatched to Storage Express in the 4800 block of Mann Rd on reports of a burglary to a storage unit. Responding officers met with the complainant and observed a storage unit that had been burglarized.

Southwest District detectives have been investigating the incident and have released the attached surveillance video still image of Demoss. Several thousands of dollars worth of equipment was stolen during this incident using a rented U-Haul truck from Texas. Demoss recently moved back to Indianapolis. Detectives ask that the public contact 911 immediately if they see him or call Crime Stoppers if they know of his whereabouts.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317.262.8477 or (TIPS). Citizens can also download the mobile P3tips app for Apple or Android phones to submit a mobile tip, or go to www.CrimeTips.org to submit a web tip. You will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000 if the information leads to a felony arrest. Only tips submitted directly and anonymously to Crime Stoppers are eligible for these cash rewards. This release may be updated as more information becomes available. Information given via Crime Stoppers should be considered anonymous.
