Michelle Montano, 19, of Logansport, Airlifted After ATV Accident

Logansport, IN – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an ATV accident that occurred at approximately 4:15 pm Sunday evening in the 5000 block E on CR 150 S.

Michelle Montano,19, of Logansport was operating a Suzuki Ozark 250 cc ATV at approximately 30 mph when for some unknown reason, she crossed the roadway and collided with a fence. Michelle was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Michelle was transported by ambulance to Logansport Memorial Hospital where she was then transported via Samaritan helicopter to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Injuries sustained included multiple abrasions, and trauma to the neck area and abrasions to the abdomen. Michelle is listed in critical condition at this time.

Investigating Officer- Indiana Conservation Officer Ryan McCauley

Agencies assisting include Cass County Medic 41, Walton Fire, Prompt Ambulance 282, Samaritan Helicopter, Cass County 911 Dispatch.
