TRIBE NOTES

DONE WITH THE DROUGHT: The Tribe’s scoreless-innings streak at the dish was snapped at 23 frames after a two-out rally in the first inning. Eric Wood tripled with two down and scored on a base knock by Elias Diaz to right-center, ending the drought.

A DIFFERENT DROUGHT: The Indians are currently riding a five-game skid, their longest since a six-game losing streak from Aug. 20-25, 2016. Dating back to Aug. 17, 2016, the Tribe are 9-17 overall, including an 0-6 record vs. Columbus at Victory Field.

THREE BASES, NOT IN ROGERS’ NEIGHBORHOOD: Not known for his speed on the basepaths, Jason Rogers logged his fourth triple since the beginning of 2016 with one to open the fifth inning in yesterday’s game. His last triple prior to yesterday came on June 1, 2016 vs. Rochester at Victory Field.
