TRIBE NOTES

THREE’S THE NUMBER: For the first time in his career, Moroff has homered in three consecutive games after his blast off Chad Bell last night. In 2015 and 2016, he had two separate occasions where he homered in back-to-back affairs, but never before had he hit a home run in three straight contests.

ONE OF THREE: Moroff is one of three players in Minor League Baseball and one of 12 players in professional baseball to have hit three home runs this season. In the minors, he’s joined by Double-A Jackson’s Kevin Cron and Single-A Hickory’s Ti’Quan Forbes as the only players with three bombs on the young season.

THE SEVENTH INNING: All three games in the series thus far have been decided in the seventh inning. On Thursdaynight, the Indians scored five runs to turn a 3-2 deficit into a 7-3 lead and eventual 7-4 victory. Then on Friday night, Moroff’s three-run homer in the seventh lifted the Tribe to another comeback win, 5-4. Last night, it was the visiting Mud Hens who rallied in the seventh, scoring twice off Angel Sanchez to grab a 2-1 victory.
