TRIBE NOTES

WORKING OVERTIME: Indians relievers were forced to complete 7.1 innings yesterday after Holmes recorded just two outs in the first inning of the eventual 4-3 loss. The Tribe’s bullpen has now thrown more innings (42.0 IP) than the rotation (40.0 IP).

ONE-RUN LOSSES: Four of Indy’s six losses on the young season have been by one run. The Tribe leads the International League in one-run losses, with Norfolk the only other team to have been handed three one-run defeats.

BRING THE LUMBER: Eric Wood has totaled six extra-base hits in his last five games and is one of three players in the IL to have that many extra-base hits this season. Wood is joined atop the leaderboard by teammate Max Moroff and Durham’s Shane Peterson, who has already been recalled by Tampa Bay.
