Darrell Miller, 30, and James Clark, 31, Murdered Near Fountain Square; Child, 4, Unharmed

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives are investigating after two males were found shot to death on the city’s southeast side.

Shortly before 10:30 pm on April 20, 2017, officers with the IMPD were dispatched to the 1600 block of Villa Avenue on reports of a person shot. Responding officers located two unresponsive male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. EMS personnel responded and pronounced the victims dead on-scene.

Homicide detectives responded and began interviewing witnesses. During the investigation, it was discovered that a 4-year old child was present during the incident. The child was unharmed and placed in the care of relatives. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist in identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence. The victims were identified as Darrell Miller, 30, and James Clark, 31.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317.262.8477 or (TIPS). You will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000 if the information leads to a felony arrest. Only tips submitted directly and anonymously to Crime Stoppers are eligible for these cash rewards. This release may be updated as more information becomes available. Information given via Crime Stoppers should be considered anonymous.
