Coast Guard medevacs woman, 31, from cruise ship Majesty of the Seas

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Coast Guard medevacked a 31-year-old woman Monday from the cruise ship Majesty of the Seas 5 miles east of Port Canaveral.

Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville Command Center watch standers were notified by the crew of the Majesty of the Seas at 4:24 p.m. stating they had a passenger with abdominal pain.

A Coast Guard Station Port Canaveral 45-Response Boat–Medium crew underway in the area responded.

The passenger and her friend were transferred to the RBM at 4:54 p.m. and brought to Jetty Park in Port Canaveral. EMS transported the woman to Holmes Regional Hospital in stable condition.
