Eldridge Moore, 51, Arrested For Murders of Brandon Miller, 29, and Phillip McBrady, 65

Investigators have arrested 51-year-old Eldridge Moore of Indianapolis for the murder of both victims from yesterday homicide.

Authorities from the local tasks force of the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Eldridge after they located him at a residence in Indianapolis. Eldridge was taken into custody without incident and transported to the IMPD homicide officer. After being questioned by lead investigator Detective L. Nelson Eldridge was arrested on a preliminary charge of murder. The suspect was transported to the Arrestee Processing Center for processing, and currently being held in the Marion County Jail.

Detectives suspect that likely motive of this case was a disturbance between one of the victims and suspect. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case for a charging decision.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) homicide detectives are investigating after two men were shot and killed.

On Thursday, April 6, 2017, just after 12:00 a.m., Northeast District officers with IMPD responded to the 3500 block of N. Richardt Avenue in reference to two people shot.   When officers arrived they located 29-year-old Brandon Miller and 65-year-old Phillip McBrady deceased inside the residence.  Witnesses have indicated that a fight broke out inside the residence between family members.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and began to investigate, this shooting is not believed to be a random act of violence.  The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency processed the scene for forensics evidence that could aid investigators. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will determine a cause and manner of death after they perform an autopsy.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Homicide Office at 317.327.3745. Callers can also call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317.262.8477 or (TIPS).  Citizens can also download the mobile P3tips app for Apple or Android phones to submit a mobile tip, or go to www.CrimeTips.org to submit a web tip. You will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000 if the information leads to a felony arrest.  Only tips submitted directly and anonymously to Crime Stoppers are eligible for these cash rewards.  This release may be updated as more information becomes available.   Information given via Crime Stoppers should be considered anonymous.
