Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an ATV accident that resulted in the death of a seven-year-old child.

Emma Clark (7) of Wadesville was a passenger on a Kawasaki Brute Force 750 ATV that rolled on top of her.  She was transported to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, where she died as a result of her injuries.

The ATV was being navigated on an embankment off of Hidbrader Road to turn around when the accident occurred.

Emma was seated between the operator of the ATV Jennifer Blakemore (39) of Providence KY and her mother Deborah Clark (37) of Wadesville.

No one on the ATV was wearing protective gear or helmets.  Neither adult suffered life-threatening injuries.

Responding agencies included Posey County Sheriff’s Department, Wadesville Fire Department, Posey County EMS and Indiana Conservation Officers.

Posey County Dispatch received the first 911 call at 4:29 pm.
