April 26, 2017 by Naptown Buzz

With a diverse lineup of performers, an added concert date and a spectacular new venue, it’s going to be a grrr-eat summer for music at the Indianapolis Zoo.

Zoolapalooza and Animals and All That Jazz will offer 10 nights of music, animals, food and wild fun from mid-June through early August.

New for 2017, these two popular concert series will move to the new Bicentennial Pavilion. This stunning permanent structure provides an open, outdoor feel as well as lots of cover for any kind of weather. Conveniently located near the front of the Zoo, the 40,000-square-foot Pavilion will be a perfect destination for family fun this summer.

The concert season will get under way with Zoolapalooza, which is now in its seventh year. With live music, every Friday night from June 16 through July 14, guests can start their weekend on a high note with some of the area’s top bands playing a mix of classic favorites through today’s popular hits.
