The National Weather Service has updated the forecast and included Hamilton County in a Winter Weather Advisory, effective 8 AM Monday, March 13, 2017, until 2 AM Tuesday, March 14, 2017.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
* MAIN IMPACT: Hazardous travel is expected due to accumulating snow and low visibility. Remember to slow down, allow longer time to travel, use headlights even during the day, leave more room between vehicles, and clear snow and ice from the windows.
* ACCUMULATIONS: 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected by the time
the snow ends late Monday evening.
* TIMING: Accumulating snow will begin after about 5:00 AM Monday morning over the western portions of the advisory and overspread the remainder of the advisory area during Monday morning.
In the event of a weather-related incident, please contact Hamilton County Public Safety Communications at 317-773-1282 or 911 for an emergency.
