Two people were arrested early this morning after troopers found several types of drugs in their vehicle. The invesgtiation began at approximately 5:00 a.m. when Trooper Casey Witzigreuter  saw a suspicious vehicle parked in rurual Hendricks County near the intersection of CR 600 South and Bountiful Place. The vehicle was parked with the ligths off near the base of a cell phone tower. In this area, CR 600 South is a dead end road that runs along the south side of I-70, Bountiful Place is also a dead end road. While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, Trooper Witzigreuter could clearly see what he believed to be marijuana sitting in the back seat of the car.

Upon further investigation, 44 year old Jeremy Grimes of Indianapolis, and the passenger, 31 year old Nicole Asher of Indianapolis, were allegedly found to be in posession of several types of drugs. Inside the vehicle troopers found over 8 grams of Cocaine, more than 100 grams of marijuana, several bottles of schedule II prescription pills and one bottle of schedule IV prescription pills. Neither occupant of the vehicle had a prescription for the pills. Asher was also found to have an active arrest warrant through Marion County for driving while suspended.

Both suspects were arrested and taken to the Hendricks County Jail. The Hendricks County Prosecutor will review the case and determine any formal criminal charges. All suspects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court. Since an arrest has been made, any further inquiries into this investigation should be made to the Hendricks County Prosecutor’s Office.
