Mario Rizzotti, The Food Network’s Iron Chef America judge, is bringing an authentic Italian cooking experience to select Meijer stores as part of Mercato Italiano.
During each event, Rizzotti will cook an Italian pasta dish and put his own twist on a gelato for the first 50 customers with a wristband. Customers will also have an opportunity to participate in a live Q&A session.
Meijer and the Italian Trade Agency are partnering to bring Mercato Italiano to all 230 Meijer stores for a limited time mid-January. The experience will feature more than 400 authentic Italian products, including artisan pasta, San Marzano tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil.
The Indianapolis event takes place on January 24 from 6-7 p.m. at the Keystone Ave. Meijer (5550 N. Keystone Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46220).
