Dennis Horvath to Kick Off IMS Museum’s Speaker’s Series February 16th

January 24, 2017 by Naptown Buzz

An acclaimed Indiana author will kick off the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum‘s “Speakers Series” in the facility’s new multi-purpose meeting room on February 16th.

Dennis Horvath has written several books, including “Indiana Cars: A History of the Automobile in Indiana” and he will present his popular “Mileposts in Indiana Automotive History” discussion at the museum for members and guests.

The Mileposts presentation illustrates how the Hoosier state serves as a model for our country’s automotive industry and heritage, harkening back to a time when marques such as Duesenberg, Stutz and Studebaker propelled the state into a position where the number of Indiana auto manufacturers rivaled Detroit.

The presentation is a perfect companion to the museum’s current special exhibition, Indiana Automobiles: Precision Over Production, which currently has more than 35 historic, Indiana-built passenger cars, and several iconic race cars on display.

Tickets will be available at the door, but we ask that you reserve your spot by e-mailing us at IMSmuseumevents@brickyard.com. Admission for Museum members is $10.00, and $15.00 for non-members. Ticket prices include admission to the museum.
