Man Found Shot in the 3700 block of Chester Avenue (Aug 1)

Monday August 1st, 2016 :: 10:37 p.m. EDT

Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Branch are investigating the suspicious death of a 40-year-old male.

Just after 6:00 a.m., officers were sent to the 3700 block of Chester Avenue reference a burglary that was later updated to include person down. When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive male, later identified as Henry Senteayehou of Indianapolis, lying just inside the door of a residence. The victim appeared to have suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives canvassed the area looking for additional information about this incident. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency processed the scene for forensic evidence. Detectives have not yet provided any suspect information to share. Detectives urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (317) 262-TIPS (8477). Information shared via Crime Stoppers should be considered anonymous.
