Angie’s List has been a presence at the Indiana State Fair for 16 years, but this is the first time the 900,000+ fair-going crowd can sign up for its verified consumer reviews for free.

“We’re expecting bigger crowds than ever to the Angie’s List State Fair Gardens,” said Angie’s List Founder and CMO Angie Hicks. “And we have a line-up to please anyone who stops by.”

More than two dozen highly rated service providers will enlighten visitors on everything from how to successfully undertake home improvement projects to understanding cat behaviors to protecting against identity theft.

Headlining the expert presentations are Karen E Laine and Mina Starsiak, stars of the HGTV network’s Good Bones show. They will be on the Angie’s List Mainstage Saturday, August 20, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

VEX Robotics which includes 30 school kids showing off their robots performing a variety of tasks, will present on August 11 from 12 noon to 2 p.m.

Helping Paws, a local animal rescue organization, will be on hand every day with animals ready for adoption and affection. The famous and highly popular doggie kissing booth is back, as well. For a $1 donation, fairgoers can get a wet puppy smooch that makes for a tremendous photo op. Among the prizes members can enter to win or kids can color to win:

  • A landscape makeover valued at $5000
  • A backyard playhouse valued at $2400
  • A Yeti Cooler valued at $350
  • Children’s bikes valued at $100 each
