Clerk Shot and Killed at McClure Gas Station in the 5300 Block of Rockville Road

The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Susan Seel of Indianapolis. Detectives are still working to identify suspects.

This is an active investigation, and anyone with information about what happened or who may be involved is asked to call IMPD Homicide Office at (317) 327-3475 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (317) 262-8477 (TIPS). A store clerk is shot and killed during an apparent robbery of the McClure gas station located in the 5300 block of Rockville Road.

Just after 3:00 a.m. on today’s date, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to the 5300 blk. of Rockville Road reference a robbery. When officers arrived, they found a female victim, who was critically wounded, lying outside the business suffering from apparent head trauma. EMS personnel transported the victim to IU Health Methodist Hospital where despite the best life-saving efforts of medical personnel at the hospital the victim was tragically pronounced deceased. Detectives have identified the victim, but the name of the victim will not be released unit conformation that the next-of-kin have been notified.

Detectives arrived and are canvassing the area for additional information. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency arrived and is processing the crime scene for forensic evidence. Detectives have not released any reliable suspect information.
