THURSDAY, July 23 – Jeff Gordon Parade and Hauler Parade

Off-Track Activities

Jeff Gordon Parade (Free, Main Street, Noon in Pittsboro, Indiana)
In conjunction with the town of Pittsboro, Indiana, IMS is staging a parade in Gordon’s honor on Jeff Gordon Day (as designated by the town) at noon on Main Street. Fans are encouraged to line the parade route. A merchandise trailer stocked with Gordon items will be on site.

Seventh Annual Hauler Parade (Free, Main Street, Speedway)

  • 5 p.m. NASCAR Parade begins. Live music by Jai Baker (Hauler Parade Stage, Main Street
  • 6 p.m. NASCAR Sprint Cup haulers arrive on Main Street
  • 6:10 p.m. Hauler Parade Welcome with IMS President J. Douglas Boles, Jeff Kyle, Miss Sprint Cup, Miss Coors Light (Hauler Parade Stage)
  • 7 p.m. Live music by Jessie Brown (Hauler Parade Stage)
  • 7:55 p.m. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series haulers depart from Main Street, travel to IMS
  • 8 p.m. Event concludes

FRIDAY, July 24 – Chevy Day at the Brickyard

On-Track Schedule

  • 9-10:25 a.m. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Practice 1
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:55 p.m. NASCAR XFINITY Series Practice 1
  • 1-2:25 p.m. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Practice 2
  • 2:30-3:55 p.m. NASCAR XFINITY Series Practice 2
  • 4-5:55 p.m. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Practice 3

Off-Track Activities

IMS Midway: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

  • Kids Zone Activities: IMS Road Crew (Music and Games), EBash Simulators, Inflatable Slide, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Face Painter, Caricature Artist, Strider Course.
  • Hero Zone activities: Military Themed Obstacle Course, Rock Wall, Donation Collection for Wish 4 Our Heroes.
  • Indianapolis Motor Speedway Info Tent: Batak Reaction Testing Games*, Forza Simulators, NASCAR Tire Changer, 2015 Honda CBR600 Motorcycle on Display *Prizes awarded each day for the top scores.
  • Chevy Driver Autograph Session Lines Form – 8 a.m. at Chevrolet Display
  • Chevy Driver Autograph Session Wristband Distribution – 9 a.m. at Chevrolet Display
  • Chevy Driver Autograph Sessions – 11 a.m.-noon at Chevrolet Display (Wristbands Required)
  • Session A – Autograph Session A: Kasey Kahne, Ryan Newman, Austin Dillon
  • Session B – Danica Patrick, Jamie McMurray, Kurt Busch

  • NASCAR Sprint Cup YOUTH ONLY Autograph Session wristband distribution – 8 a.m., Kids Zone

  • 11:30 a.m.: Jeff Gordon, who will be presented with his 2014 Crown Royal Presents the John Wayne Walding 400 at the Brickyard winner’s ring.
  • Noon: Austin Dillon
  • 12:30 p.m.: Tony Stewart

Indianapolis Downtown Canal Dyed Purple: The City of Indianapolis will dye the downtown canal purple at 2:30 p.m. in recognition of Jeff Kyle Day. The event will honor Sergeant Kyle and all past and present men and women of our nation’s military who have served with immeasurable dedication, distinction and honor. Kyle is the American hero serving as the namesake of the Crown Royal Presents the Jeff Kyle 400 at the Brickyard NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, July 26, at IMS. This event is free and the public is invited to attend.

Drivers Walk the Bricks: Fans can watch drivers walk from Yard of Bricks in Pagoda Plaza to Pagoda for driver introductions, 2:30-2:55 p.m.
Pre-Race Ceremonies: Driver introductions, military salute, national anthem, invocation, command to start engines, 3-3:37 p.m.
