In conjunction with the Bloomington Gold Road Tour, the Indiana State Police, Avon, Clermont, Danville, Speedway and Plainfield Police Departments, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department, and the Indiana Department of Transportation will provide an escort for approximately 1,000 Corvette’s from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway through Plainfield, Danville and back to Plainfield ending at the Metropolis Mall.
The purpose of the escort is to work with businesses, INDOT, and other police agencies to maintain safe passage and minimize the risk and inconvenience to other motorists along the planned route.
The escort on Saturday June 27th, 2015 will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 8:00 p.m.
