At approximately 8:42 a.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were sent to the 5500 blk. of Rockville Road on possible person shot. The victims’ daughter called 9-1-1 indicating her parents had been shot.
When officers arrived they found two elderly victims suffering from undetermined signs of trauma. Both elderly victims were transported to Eskanzi Health; the male victim, identified as 72-year-old Levi Jones, was transported in fair condition, and the female victim, identified as 71-year-old Janet Jones, was transported in serious condition. No updated conditions are available as of this release.
Detective are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident but have not yet made an arrest or released publicly any suspect information.
