Victory Field to Host City & County Baseball Championships May 12

On Tuesday, May 12, Victory Field will host the 2015 City and County Baseball Championships. The City Championship features Bishop Chatard (15-7) vs. Cathedral (17-1) at 5 p.m. followed by Decatur Central (13-7) vs. Lawrence Central (14-8) in the County Championship at 7:30 p.m.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with admission $5 and kids age 2-and-under admitted for free. Parking is $3 at Victory Field for this event.

Of note: On May 9 Decatur Central defeated Lawrence Central 4-3 at Decatur Central. Chatard and Cathedral have not yet met in the 2015 regular season but will meet again at Chatard on May 20.

Tickets to Indianapolis Indians baseball games at Victory Field are available through IndyIndians.com, the Victory Field Box Office or by calling (317) 269-2282. Box office hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and in the Hot Corner Gift Shop Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fans save $2 when they purchase at least a day in advance.
