For five years, men have enjoyed getting together at St. Elmo Steak House for the exclusive Beefsteak event to kick off the start of the men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament. Last year, the ladies decided to create their own event at sister restaurant Harry & Izzy’s.
Beefsteak refers to both the event and the featured menu item – a cut of rare beef tenderloin served on a slice of bread. During the event, participants wear white aprons and are encouraged to eat as much beefsteak as they can without silverware or napkins. Some participants prefer to not fill up on bread and take pride in how high they can stack the slices.
During Chic Steak, attendees will be able to experience:
- Food including a breakfast bar for early arrivers
- Wine and cocktail tastings
- VIP Nordstrom Rack shopping experience from 9 – 10 a.m.
- Prizes
- NCAA bracket contest
