April 17, 2013 by Naptown Buzz

Earth_Day_logo_FINAL

Join the Earth Day celebration this Friday, April 19, from 3 – 7 p.m. at Founder’s Park, located at 11675 Hazel Dell Parkway, Carmel, Ind.. All events are free and open to the public and do not require registration. Participate in educational games and crafts, visit exhibitor booths, and don’t miss the Arbor Day Proclamation and scavenger hunt.

Earth Day, sponsored by Nature’s Karma and Earth Fare, will present family friendly entertainment provided by Tim Womick, often referred to as a modern-day Johnny Appleseed, as he shares his highly animated, often audience-interactive Trail of Trees (really a Tale of Trees). Or take a spin on the Carmel Green Initiative’s pedal power energy bike, which provides a memorable, fun way to learn about energy efficiency, provided by Indiana Office of Energy Development.

Schedule of Events:

  • 3 – 4 p.m. Live Music: Clang Interactive Duo
  • 4 – 4:30 p.m. Arbor Day Ceremony
  • 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Interactive Presentation: Tim Womick (Mr. Appleseedz)
  • 3 – 7 p.m. Games, Scavenger Hunt, Crafts, Exhibitor booths, Kona Ice and Der Pretzel Wagon
