Almost the Night before Christmas at Morris-Butler House December 15

December 7, 2012 by Brian Groce

The Victorian-era Morris-Butler House, decorated for the holidays, is the perfect setting for carolers and dramatic readings of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.”  Families will learn about holiday traditions of the era, some familiar and some that have died away, and children can make a Victorian Christmas ornament to take home.

Admission is $5 per adult, $4 for seniors, and $3 for children 17 and under. Reservations are encouraged but not required: call 317-636-5409 or email morris-butler@indianalandmarks.org.

The Morris-Butler House, 1204 North Park Avenue, Indianapolis, is a property of Indiana Landmarks. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, it is located in the Old Northside historic district, about one mile north of downtown Indianapolis, easily accessible from I-65, I-70, and North Meridian Street (US 31).
