Brian Regan at the Murat Theatre

October 1, 2012 by April Abernathy

Live Nation welcomes comedian Brian Regan to the Murat Theatre at Old National Center on Friday, October 26th, 2012 at 7:30 pm. Critics and peers agree: Regan has distinguished himself as one of the premier comedians in the country. The perfect balance of sophisticated writing and physicality, Regan fills theaters nationwide with fervent fans that span generations.

Regan’s non-stop theater tour has visited more than 80 cities each year since 2005 and continues through 2013. It is the quality of his material, relatable to a wide audience, revered by his peers and fairly clean content, which continues to grow Regan’s fan base. In March of 2010, Regan broke the record for the most consecutive shows by a comedian at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City. With five sold out performances, Regan beat the previous record of four shows set by Jerry Seinfeld in 2005. In January 2012 Regan beat his record by performing ten sold-out shows at Abravanel Hall.

Regan first appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman” in 1995, which solidified his place on the show. He has now made more than 20 appearances. A dorm room favorite, Brian’s 1997 CD, “Brian Regan Live,” has sold more than 150,000 copies. Last year, Regan’s highly anticipated second album, “All By Myself,” was released on CD available only through his website. Releasing two critically acclaimed hour-long Comedy Central specials and DVD’s in as many years Regan helped set a standard of excellence that others continually try to follow.
