Yesterday Mayor Ballard rescinded the Indianapolis Burn Ban that has been in place since June due to the drought.
Issued Exec. Order rescinding countywide burn ban. This doesn't change ban on use of personal fireworks displays thru Dec 31 (in city code).

However, the watering ban is still in place until further notice and normal fireworks laws still apply (which means no fireworks until New Years).
With the ban lifted will you be lighting a fire this week or weekend? Personally I could not wait and had to do it last night!
