Artist Callout for the 7th Annual Art in the Park

July 16, 2012 by Mel McMahon

The Fishers Arts Council wants to find talented local artists that want to display their work at the seventh annual Art in the Park at Fishers Town Hall lawn Saturday, September 15 from 9:00am to 4:00pm.  Approximately 5,000 visitors attend the free event each year.

Artists interested in taking part in this juried event are encouraged to fill out an online application found on the Fishers Arts Council’s website and to submit two images of their work along with $75 by Aug. 24. Artists will find out no later than Aug. 31 whether or not they have been chosen to display their work at Art in the Park.

Art in the Park is a fun-filled day for artists and visitors alike. The artists will set up booths on the lawn to sell their art while visitors can browse through the assortment of artwork, enjoy performances by local entertainers and sample food from the vendors at the Fishers Farmer’s Market, which will take place in conjunction with Art in the Park.

For more information regarding Art in the Park, visit www.fishersartscouncil.org or call Doug Whisman at 317-694-1207. The Fishers Arts Council may also be reached by email at contactfac@fishersartscouncil.org.
