AAA Insurance Night of Speed & Cruise-In at Lucas Oil Raceway Saturday, June 9th

June 4, 2012 by Brian Groce

The AAA Insurance Night of Speed & Cruise in will be a tricky one for drivers in the The Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series.  The inaugural appearance on the .686-mile oval at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis alongside the TopSpeed Fabrication/CRA Late Model Sportsman Series on Saturday, June 9th will confront racers familiar with ovals with nuances of these cars on one of the trickiest tracks they race on all season long.

“Everyone with our series is buzzed about the idea of racing at Lucas Oil Raceway. It’s a great facility with a terrific history in open wheel racing, the type of place where racers feel a strong sense of tradition. It’s a ‘bucket list’ track for anyone in short track racing, that’s for sure,” Hanks said. “Our guys are wheeling the fastest short track cars in the world, and fans feel a sense of anticipation everywhere we race. When we come to Lucas Oil Raceway, the anticipation of speed and down force wheel to wheel racing is felt by the racers as well as the fans, and that’s what we are all looking forward to.”

Pit gates will open at 2:00 pm and spectator gates at 5 pm. To add to the excitement a cruise-in car show has been added to the line-up of activities taking place at Lucas Oil Raceway during the evening. The cruise-in will feature up to 150 of the finest cars in central Indiana brought in by members of local auto clubs.

Tickets for the AAA Insurance Night of Speed & Cruise-In featuring the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series & the TopSpeed Fabrication/CRA Late Model Sportsman Series are currently on sale. Tickets are $25 for reserved seating, $20 for general admission, and children 12 and under are free with paid adults. Tickets can be purchased by visiting LucasOilRaceway.com.
