2011 Indianapolis 500 Day 6 Top Ten

Day Six of the 2011 500 practice at Indianapolis Motor Speedway was an excellent one, and our second full day of practice which turned in the fastest laps of the year yet.

Three drivers were aver 227 mph and eleven drivers were over 226 mph, which if this is any indication, the pole could very well be in the 227 – 228 mph range given the right weather conditions.

Led by Will Power, here’s the complete top ten run down for the day.

  1. No. 12 – Will Power @ 227.778 mph
  2. No. 77 – Alex Tagliani @ 227.652 mph
  3. No.6 – Ryan Briscoe @ 227.217 mph
  4. No. 3 – Helio Castroneves @ 226.927 mph
  5. No. 99 – Townsend Bell @ 226.741 mph
  6. No. 4 – JR Hildebrand (R) @ 226.527 mph
  7. No. 2 – Oriol Servia @ 226.471 mph
  8. No.9 – Scott Dixon @ 226.453 mph
  9. No.67 – Ed Carpenter @ 226.376 mph
  10. No. 7 – Danica Patrick @ 226.267 mph
